| Lasers:
We have and use both soft tissue (Ezlase) and hard and soft tissue (Waterlase) lasers. Lasers in dentistry enable us to perform procedures on the soft tissues such as the gums and frenums, and hard tissues such as teeth and bone, without the tradiotional drills or scalpels. What does this mean for you as a patient, many but not all fillings can be done without freezing (anesthesia), surgery is essentially bloodless, requires few if any stitches (sutures), post operative pain is minimal to none, and healing is much more rapid. Dental treatments are now more pleasant, more comfortable, you can leave our office and go about your day without the usual numbness and discomfort.

To that end we have added to our normal head and neck examination the VELSCOPE early cancer detection system. It is painless, quick and efficient, enabling us to see what the naked eye may miss. We look at the VELSCOPE as yet another tool we can use in the early detection of oral cancer, thus early treatment. It allows us to improve our ability to diagnose and treat early lesions, this along with our usual head and neck examination helps to provide us with more detailed information concerning your health.

DIGITAL XRAYS
We use digital xrays to help us diagnose and treat any dental diseases. Digital xrays use 70-80% less radiation than conventional xrays, as well as allow us to manipulate the xrays to give greater information than regular xrays. So you as our patient receive LESS radiation and we gather more information, resulting in better treatment diagnosis.
